We are pleased to bring you the following interviews. The first was a blog interview with Rachel Held Evans.The second was video-recorded live. The third was with a national Christian newspaper. The other three were print interviews with national Christian magazines or e-magazines representing three entirely different portions of the universal church.

Rachel Held Evans Interview — Blogger/author/speaker Rachel Held Evans interviewed Edward about his understanding of the doctrine of hell, sometimes referred to as “conditional immortality” or “annihilationism.” Read it here.

Biblical-Literacy Class Interview — The Biblical Literacy Class is a 375-400 member adult Bible class at Champion Forest Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, taught by Edward’s friend and employer, Mark Lanier. One Sunday morning in August 2009, Mark interviewed Edward about the Book of Hebrews and about Edward’s new commentary, Hebrews: Ancient Encouragement for Believers Today. New Wineskins Interview — New Wineskins online journal interviewed Edward about the origins, present changes and future of Churches of Christ, plus Edward’s own spiritual background, interaction with Christians of other denominations and his written ministry. Planet Preterist Interview — Planet Preterist online journal interviewed Edward about his understanding of biblical teaching regarding the final end of the wicked, a viewpoint sometimes called “Conditional Immortality” (immortality is not natural to humans but will be God’s gift to the saved) or “Annihilationism” (hell stands for the destruction of both body and soul forever).
